A practice of connecting to the present moment through the senses and meeting our experience with compassion. We allow the volume of the thinking mind to turn down by focusing our attention on breath, body sensations and the environment.
This is a practice, it’s not about perfection. It’s an intentional pause in our day to set aside any doing, and simply be aware and receive the present moment, just as it is.
It’s a practice of befriending ourselves at a deeper level by building awareness of our thoughts, feelings and emotions. With time we began to direct kindness inward, growing our capacity to be with what is arising. Mindfulness meditation leads us to reduce suffering and invite equilibrium into our body, heart and mind.
